FAQs

Got questions? Here’s the answers to our most common queries:

What if my pet cannot be off-lead when outside?

Not a problem! We have 2 solutions for that. As a editing specialist I can remove leads from your photos. We also offer a 100sqm fenced pen for all pets to roam around freely.

What if my pet is reactive or nervous?

Don’t worry! Each Pooch ‘N’ Purr session begins with a meet and greet. This gives your pet and Billy a chance to get to know each other and for your pet to get used to the land before the shoot. Before hand, let us know if there’s anything specific your pet really does or doesn’t like - we will adjust the shoot accordingly to help them (and you!) enjoy the day. Is your pet eager to adventure through our 8 acres of enclosed grassland and woodland? Off they go! Would they prefer to stay cuddled in your arms, or under their favourite blanket? That’s perfectly fine too!

My pet is full of beans - what if they won’t sit still?

At Pooch ‘n’ Purr, we don’t believe in stiff, overly posed photo shoots for animals. That’s not enjoyable for anyone! Instead, our top priority is tailoring your session to your pets’ unique personality. The more they feel like they’re allowed to be themselves, the more authentic the photos will be. My camera equipment allows me to take a shot in split seconds. Simply put... bonkers pets are welcome here! Simply put... bonkers pets are welcome here!

Can my family and I be in the photos too?

Of course you can! We’ll head to the grassland or woodland for family shots, as the studio is designed specially for pets.

What if it rains?

Rain is just one of those things we’ll manage on the day. If it clears up for a bit, we will head outside for the action shots. I am more than happy to shoot in the rain. Seeing a dog run around soaking wet does create a great photo! However, we can always discuss rescheduling the outdoor section of the shoot, and spend more time getting the perfect studio portrait whilst we hide from the rain!
